Hanukkah update
Dec. 11th, 2009 10:50 pmHey all,
Thanks for the advice. The girls are now happily playing dreidel for skittles. It really can take a long time to play. They did have a few menorahs at Target, but my youngest daughter really wanted the wooden menorah "puzzle", with wooden candles. I hope that's not cheating too much. We also bought a "Happy Hanukkah" window cling.
I also have learned that five potatoes makes a *ton* of latkes. We should have enough for eight nights, if the family doesn't get sick of them. I don't know if they came out the way they are supposed to, but I thought they were yummy (especially with apple sauce and Greek yogurt). I'm hoping to also make matzo ball soup sometime this week (or a vegetarian version).
I appreciate all the links you folks gave me.
